I’m fortunate enough to have clear and smooth skin, and people always ask me what I use for my face for that very reason. To be completely honest, a lot of it is due to genetics. I never really had acne or pimples except for that awkward ‘hitting puberty’ stage … hashtag ew. That being said, my skin isn’t perfect. I get the casual break-outs, I look dead sometimes, and when I’m in the sun for too long I get heat rash. Yea, on my face … hashtag no bueno! I’ve used a lot of products that absolutely did not agree with my skin and actually made me breakout. I went through a trial and error process until I found something I love, and came across two products that do it for me!
I’m currently using the Clinique 3-Step Skin Care line (pictured above) which cleanses; exfoliates, and moisturizes the skin. It includes a liquid face wash, a clarifying lotion – which is really just a toner, as well as a moisturizing lotion. They have combinations for dry skin as well as oily skin, but my skin type is normal so I use the mild wash . I’ve only been using this product for 6 months or so and I absolutely love it! I’ll admit it’s a little on the pricey side compared to a regular face wash but it does the job. Now you have to remember that everyone’s skin is different so I would recommend testing it out with a sample size first to see how it works for you before purchasing the entire line!
Another product I love is the Positively Radiant line by Aveeno. I’ll randomly use it here and there because I don’t want it to feel like I abandoned it … I know, I’m weird, but that really goes through my mind! The face wash itself is inexpensive, but if you buy the entire line as I do, it definitely adds up. I use the face wash, the daily moisturizer, the night cream, as well as the exfoliation pads – the line also has make-up wipes. I always recommend this product to my friends when they ask what I use because you can find it anywhere and it’s completely affordable – if you don’t buy the entire line.
Overall, they’re both great products and I will continue to use them both until I find something better, or can afford whatever product Beyoncé uses. Just remember to keep in mind that everyone’s skin type is different, and having clear skin is a combination of different aspects: first and foremost it comes down to genetics. In addition, not going to sleep wearing make-up – which I don’t do after a good night out; drinking a lot of water, which I also don’t do; and eating well, which I definitely do not do but hey, we’re all a work in progress!
Keep it cute, Keep it Classy..xx
